What's 'Happening'?

So the last post listed here is from February?!  Wow.

We'll I don't know if anyone is keeping up with this com anymore but I thought I would post about the movie I saw tonight.  M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening" came out on Friday staring Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel.  I'll probably talk about spoilers so if you haven't seen it yet just keep on keepin' on.

Coming of Age movies

I took this idea from a weekly podcast on movies I listen to (Filmspotting) - every week they have a Top 5 X Movies to coordinate with the movie they're reviewing that week. This week's was "coming of age" movies, and since I was putting a list together anyway, I thought I might as well post it here.

Besides the obvious, the uniting theme in all these movies is a sense of disillusionment.

5. Good Bye Lenin! (2003)
4. Artemisia (1997)
3. Tagebuch einer Verlorenen (1929) (Diary of a Lost Girl)
2. Les roseaux sauvages (1993) (Wild Reeds)
1. Roman Holiday (1953)

Anyone want to put together their own list/talk about these movies?
